Test Automation Engineer 
Gorilla Logic is working with our client, who is an industry leader in providing integrated patient care, to help build their team of highly intelligent and capable engineers. We are looking for a Test Automation Engineer, who will work with a team of engineers building and maintaining our customer’s web apps. Based in San Jose, Costa Rica, this is a key role within our customer’s engineering team, requiring extensive test automation experience as well as familiarity with web manual testing. Our environment will require you to work effectively with your teammates, of course. But your real success will be measured by how well you couple critical thinking with self-motivation, enthusiasm and determination.
  • Work with the developers and product owners to develop test automation scripts for web and APIs
  • Work closely with product owners, developers and other QA engineers to build and execute test cases for new product features
  • Work as part of an agile team in the periodic regression testing of the product
  • Diligently document and manage defects within the customer’s defect tracking system
  • Build and maintain a suite of test cases to be used during regression testing
  • Work as an active participant in an agile development environment; attend daily standups, sprint planning and retrospectives.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years experience testing web applications within an agile environment
  • Strong automation experience using Selenium web-driver using Java
  • Experience with BDD Testing and Cucumber
  • Passion for defining and improving QA practices and standards
  • Experience testing REST APIs with tools like JMeter, Postman or Fiddler
  • Must have the ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills to interact with agile team members  
  • Experience using Java and JDBC to populate and validate test data during testing
  • Experience with JMeter
  • Experience with unit testing with Java using JUnit or TestNG
  • Experience with JavaScript development
  • Experience working with Oracle Databases
