DevOps Engineer
Gorilla Logic is working with our client, who is an industry leader in providing high-resolution Earth imagery, data and analytics, to help build their team of highly intelligent and capable engineers. We are looking for a DevOps Engineer, who will work with a team of engineers to define and implement secure and optimized AWS best practices.  Based in San Jose, Costa Rica or US Remote, this is a key role within our client’s engineering team, requiring extensive Unix/Linux and Terraform experience. Our environment will require you to work effectively with your teammates, of course. But your real success will be measured by how well you couple critical thinking with self-motivation, enthusiasm and determination. 

Responsibilities 
  • Build and support the cloud-based infrastructure for scalable micro services. 
  • Build technical AWS products that are easily consumed by the entire organization.
  • Collaborate with development teams across the entire company to build solutions.
Basic Qualifications
  • Current AWS experience of 2+ years with EC2, VPC, S3, IAM, and AWS CLI  
  • 4+ years of experience with Unix/Linux environments 
  • Development experience in Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Understanding of git branch and release patterns
  • Understanding of HA, performance and cost monitoring in AWS
  • Experience with CI/CD tools
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to build Docker containers and docker compose environments
  • Experience working in a 24/7 environment
  • Familiarity with AWS observability tools e.g. Cloudabilitity
  • Experience working in agile paradigm
  • Hands on experience with AWS Organizations or Governance@Scale
  • Expertise programming in Python, especially boto3
